Dear Barbara,
I can't thank you enough for making my dream living room come true, and for making it such fun, as well! From our initial meeting to the completion of the room, you were so full of enthusiasm, encouragement, and support. Most importantly, you listened to my concerns and gave me a room that I could truly call mine. What's more amazing, you did it with what you already had in the house!
You really have a gift, Barbara. Thank you so much for sharing it with me. I can't wait for us to do our next room together!
Very truly yours,
Barbara E. Saxton
Article – Interior Decorating ... Interior Redesign
Love your home! Incorporate yourself in it. You say, "How do I do that?" Make a list of likes and dislikes, such as colors, decorative pieces, specific collections (pottery, clocks, photos, etc.). Having this part of you around your house makes your house a home. When you enter your home, you should feel the "ah" factor not just because your home, but because you have left the world behind and arrived in your
sanctuary. When the soul is visually satisfied you can accomplish whatever is necessary. A type of energy will be released and you'll be wowed. Experiment with color. Whatever your budget, paint is the least expensive.
Don't think you need to replace everything. It's too overwhelming. Take a look around. Placement of pieces can change everything. Take for example, holiday decorating. Every year you dig out your decorations. You might purchase some new. However, you don't place them in the same location. Well, I don't. While you're going through this process you'll be organizing and regrouping your "stuff". Your creativity will start pouring out. When this happens to me, a new energy is released in the room and myself. You can apply this idea in your home after the holiday decorations have been cleaned up. If you can't achieve this type of vision, call me! I love to re-energize homes. Let me rummage through your attic, basement, closets, basically your whole house to see what's been screaming to be appreciated in a new way. I'll become your personal interior home energizer. In turn you'll be amazed and have a new feeling of satisfaction in your home and then yourself.
